Guardian Angel Program
Liberty Humane Society's Guardian Angel Program allows individuals to make a dedicated gift to the adoptable animal of their choice. Often, when donating to an organization, one may think, "Where is my money going?" Now, you know exactly where and for whom your donation is being used and you help that special pet take one step closer to finding a home!
To become a Guardian Angel Sponsor, simply make a tax deductible donation of $125 (you can also join with friends or colleague to make a collective donation of $125) naming a specific animal that currently available for adoption at the shelter. A picture of you or your group will be placed on the animal's cage for one month.Your gift will go towards the shelter and care of your designated animal.
Gift in Honor
Make a donation to Liberty Humane Society to honor those you care about. Celebrate an anniversary, your marriage, the marriage of a couple close to you, a birthday, birth of a child, arrival of a new pet, holiday, or any other special occasion with a gift of compassion that shows how much you care. Simply give us the name of the loved one you wish to honor when you make your gift. We will send a personalized card to the person you designate.
Gift in Memory
Make a donation to Liberty Humane Society in loving memory of a person or pet. Simply give us the loved one's name when you make your gift. We will send a personalized card in memory of the person or pet you designate.
Annual Gifts
Annuals gifts are the cornerstone of Liberty Humane Society. These fits pay for the shelter and medical care of the thousands of abandoned and homeless animals that come through our door each year. Please know that ALL gifts, no matter the amount, enable Liberty Humane Society's staff and volunteers to care for and love the animals that you like to, but perhaps cannot because you already have pets or simply cannot accommodate one at his time. Please consider making an annual gift in one of the below amounts:
$500 will help cover medical costs for sick or injured animals
$250 will help cover the costs to spay/neuter and to care for an animal for one month
$100 will help cover costs for our numerous community outreach programs
$50 will help cover costs to purchase spacious cat crates and bedding
$Other will help cover costs for warm blankets and fuzzy toys!
Leadership Gifts
Leadership gifts enable Liberty Humane Society to enhance our facility and programs and purchase items outside of our annual budget. These items include such things as large outdoor dog runs and spacious exercise pens. Leadership gifts are also critical in keeping up with the increasing number of dogs and cats that come through our door in need of shelter and placement. Please consider making a Leadership Gift in one of the below amounts:
$5,000 will provide for a cat socialization area
$2,500 will provide for a dog run
$1,000 will provide indoor dog cages
Caregivers Program
Liberty Humane Society's Caregivers Program allows you to make regular automatic contributions online through your credit card. It's simple and convenient! By joining the Caregivers Program, you'll receive the satisfaction and good feeling of supporting Liberty Humane Society without having to initiate a contribution each time. No checks, no postage, no hassles! Your monthly or quarterly gift provides Liberty Humane Society with regular and reliable income to respond to unexpected disasters, expand our lifesaving programs, and plan for the future. At the same time, it helps us eliminate unnecessary appeals and requests, ensuring that more of each donation goes directly to our programs and services. Simply authorize your credit card issuer to make a gift directly through your Visa or Mastercard credit card. Contribute monthly or quarterly, whichever is best for you.
Gift in Kind Program
Consider purchasing extra dog or cat items next time you are at the grocery store and receive a tax write off for your donation. The shelter is always in need of items such as kitty litter, bleach, paper towels, detergent, canned cat food, rawhide bones, and toys for our animals during their stay at the shelter.
Or, donate an item or gift certificate that we can raffle off at one of our upcoming events or for our annual Rummage Sale. This is a great program for businesses and corporations to market their products and services to our audience. In return, you will receive a tax receipt letter establishing the full value of the item donated. A gift in kind donation enables you to receive a valuable tax write off while marketing your product or service - all this while supporting our needy animals!
Matching Gifts Program
A large number of corporations will double the value of your donation through their Matching Gift Program. Simply check with your company's (or that of your spouse) human resources department to see if your gift is eligible for a match. If so, they will provide you with a form to complete and send to the shelter. It is a quick and easy way to double your donation!
Workplace Giving Program
Discover how easy it is to support Liberty Humane Society through a variety of workplace giving programs.
If you are a federal or state employee, or you work for a corporation that provides a workplace giving program, such as the Combined Federal Campaign or your local United Way, you have available to you a very simple and convenient way to support Liberty Humane Society. See your humane resource manager or payroll department to see how you can designate Liberty Humane Society to receive your charitable gift through your workplace. It's easy and it is a great way to show your support throughout the year.
Gifts of Legacy
Discover how you can make a lasting gift that shows your commitment to Liberty Humane Society's mission. Remember Liberty Humane Society in your will, trust, or other financial and insurance plans. Vehicle Donation Program
Donate your old car and receive a tax deduction equivalent to the value of the car. We provide towing so this program is a win-win for all involved!

ShelterCare Pet Insurnace Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through this website, the Liberty Humane Society will receive a $25 donation to help with our own shelter needs.
