KITTEN PALOOZA! SPRING WORKSHOP - SATURDAY, MAY 15th

On Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Liberty Humane Society and Companion Animal Trust, in conjunction with the New York City Feral Cat Initiative, a Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals program, will present the Kitten Palooza! Spring training workshop for all current and potential kitten rescuers interested in learning about effective bottle-feeding, the successful care of orphaned kittens and how to socialize feral kittens.  This workshop is sponsored by PetSmart Charities®.

This full-day presentation is FREE but requires registration as seating is very limited.  Participants will be led by instructors Mike Phillips of the Urban Cat League in NYC and Valerie Sicignano of the NYC Feral Cat Initiative. 

The morning session – 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. – will focus on bottle feeding and care of orphaned kittens.  The afternoon session – 1:15 – 3:30 p.m. will focus on socializing young feral kittens into adoptable pets.  All are invited to attend the full day program, but you may register to attend just the morning or afternoon presentation.  Lunch break will be from 12:15 – 1:15 p.m. and which will provide the opportunity to network with other local kitten rescuers.
