Construction Update

With construction moving along, Liberty Humane Society looks better than ever! Come visit us if you haven't been by in a while!

As many of you know, LHS operates out of a converted garage. Two years ago, construction began to reconfigure existing space while adding additional animal holding areas. In order to accommodate animal intakes, isolation, and veterinary surgical care, four brand new wings were added to the existnig facility. These four wings are equipped with heating and air conditioning and kennels to comfortably house pets. Currently, the interior of the main shelter is being subdivided into a new lobby, small dog housing, large dog housing, public restroom, dog isolation, prep area and a workspace for a vet tech. The cattery has been repainted and brand new stainless teel cages were purchaged. The HVAC (heating/cooling and air exchange) system connection will connect to the cat room as well as the rest of the building to improve order control and disease management. Even the building's exterior has recieved a fresh new coat of pain, new signs, and a beautiful mural.

Construction is almost complete! Stay tune for the ribbon cutting ceremony...
