Animal care and sheltering is only one component of LHS' comprehensive animal-welfare program. In order to be an effective resource for the community in combating such issues as dog fighting, animal abandonment, and indiscriminate breeding; Liberty Humane Society has community outreach programs that result in measurable and permanent change.

Our programs include Humane Education, a Pit Bull adoption and education program, and a group that especially focuses on adoptable cats.
