October Adoption Day and Transportation Thanks!
Many thanks to Joan Doljan, Mercy and Miguel Garcia, Lisa Corcoran, Linda D'Esposito and Nikki Green for bringing LHS animals to Petsmart. Although no one got adopted, Joan and the gang have started handing out the shelter's wish list to shoppers. This great idea has generated a lot of donations for the shelter! Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

Thank you to Tricia Eckert and her boyfriend and Maureen and Dominic Maratta for attending the Canis Minor event on Sunday, October 1, 2006. Again, no animals were adopted; however it was great exposure for the shelter!

A PetSmart Adoption Day Thank You!
A huge thank-you to Joan Doljan, Lisa Corcoran, Mercy and Miguel Garcia and Linda D'Esposito for their help at PetSmart this past weekend. All of the cats sent showed wonderfully and got lots of pets and attention, not to mention, that Scrambled was adopted!

Thank you volunteers on another adoption day!

Thanks to everyone's efforts, Noun and Dwight (an FIV+ foster) found new homes! Special thanks to Sarah for preparing the animals and paper work so efficiently for the event - this was a HUGE help!

Wish List: Thank Y0ou Vincent and Tracey!
Thank you to Pilar and Vincent Arguello for picking up the washer and dryer in Nutley and transporting it to the shelter. And thanks as well to Jyo and Mike O'Hare for meeting Pilar and Vincent and helping them to unload it. We appreciate it more than we can say!

A big thank you to Tracey Zucatti for donating a copier to the shelter. This was one of the big items on our Wish List, and we're so grateful for it!

Canis Minor & Hounds on the Hudson Thank You!
Thanks to Pilar Arguello and Linda D'Esposito for attending the Hounds on the Hudson event on Sunday, October 29. We were so glad you could attend! And finally, thank you to Maureen Maratta, Sanjay Coutinho, Letitia Fernandes and Sharon Harvey for offering to attend the Canis Minor Halloween Parade this past Saturday, though of course we're sorry it was cancelled due to the inclement weather!

Belated Dog Walk Thank Yous!
A belated thank-you to Jacquie Childers for working on the beautiful dog walk webpage, flyer and setting up our online registrations; and to, Mary Linn Lombardo (who also helped with the website and flyer), Mercy Garcia, Miguel Fernandez and Kim Pamperin for volunteering at the Bark in the Park dog walk on October 15. Chesire Cat Show Thank You!
Thank for all your hard work with the Cheshire Cat Show on November 4 & 5, 2006: Millie Chalmers, Lisa Corcoran, Linda D’Esposito, Miguel Fernandez, Mercy Garcia, Nikki Green, Sharon Harvey, Janice Kruk, Nancy Maynard, and Marta Panis.

A very special thank you to Joan Doljan for all her hard work. Joan basically ran and set up this event single handedly. Thank you Joan! Everyone’s hard work got 7 cats adopted including Miss Conduct and Mind Boggling! Also, there were many donations collected at this event including a new crate, beds, toys, and kitty litter. Between the Cheshire Cat Show and the MSG cat show a total of 20 cats were adopted! Way to go everyone!
LHS would also like to thank the Cheshire Cat Show for inviting us again this year!

Forgotten Mothers Thank You!

Canis Minor & PetSmart Thank You!
Many thanks to our very active volunteers for their help this past weekend at: Petsmart – Saturday, November 25, 2006 – Thank you Joan Doljan, Linda D’Esposito, Miguel Fernandez and Mercy Garcia. Their hard efforts at Petsmart got two of Mercy and Miguel’s foster kittens adopted and some items off of our wish list donated. Way to go guys, thanks again!
