6. Habitat for Zoomanity: Fundraising Support Gives the Animals New Homes
This year, LHS got a facelift! Earlier in 2011, we implemented a fundraising campaign to raise money to build new cat and dog enclosures so that our animals could live more comfortably in larger units that provide better separation from animal to animal. We’ve already completed the remodel and installation of 40 new units in the Main Cattery - the first major upgrade since the facility opened! Thanks to a very generous $15,000 matching grant from the Torricelli Foundation we will be beginning our kennel reconfiguration and installing our new dog units in 2012. Overall, we raised over $65,000 to improve animal facilities through this very important campaign.
